BEIhu AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IX
OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
RELATING TO FIPEMEN'S AND POLICEMEN'S PENSION
FUNDS AND INCREASING THE EMPLOYEES' CONTRIBUTION THERETO
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follow,,
Section I. That Section 2-34(A) of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins be, and the sane hereby is, amended to read as follows
"A The members of the Fire Department of the City of
Fort Collins shall contribut,2 monthly seven and
one-half percent (7 5%) of their respPcti�e
monthly salaries into the Firemen' s Pension Fund
of the City of Fort Collins In order to effect
such contribution the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized and directea to deduct the
appropriate amounts as are hereinabove described
in this Section from the respective monthly
salaries of the members of the Fort Collins Fire
Department and to deposit the same in the Fire-
men's Pension Fund of the Clty o, Fort Collins "
Section 2 That Section 2-39(E) of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins be, and the sane nereby is, amended to read as follows
"E The amount to be contributed by members of the
Police Department of the City of Fort Collins
eligible to be meMoe-s of the fund, which amount
shall be seven and one-half percent (7 b%) of
members' respective monthly salaries In older to
effect this contribution, the Director of Finance
is authorized and directed to aeduct the appropri-
ate amount from the r esoect rve monthly salary of
each member of the Fort Collins Police Department
eligible to be a member of the Policemen's Pension
Fund and to deposit the same in the Policemen' s
Pension Fund of the City of Fort Collins "
Section 3 That this ordinance shall becoie of{ective on Jdnuary
/, 1980
