13 OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
11HEREAS, the City of Fort Collins gill conduct a special election on
February 26, 1980, and
WHEREAS, at said soec.ial election sPverdl questions, including pro-
posed amendments to the Charter of tie City of Fort Collins , will be
submitted to the voters, and
WHEREAS, pi oposed Char ter Amendment ilo 1 pt ovides for the a, endment
of Article YVI , Section 13 of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins,
authorizing the City Council to establisn limits on campaign e>penditures
for candidates for City offices
NOW, THEPEFORE, CE IT RESOLVFD BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CTfY OF FJRi
COLLINS
Section 1 PUrSllitif to Article YVI , Sect ior 13 (Statement of Ex-
penses) of the Charter cf the City of Fort Collins, no candivate for City
office shall expend nose than One Thousand Dollar, (�1 ,000 00) In aid of
the candidate' s campaign
Section 2 This ordinance shall not become effective unless anal until
the proposed Charter Awen In, ent cnendinq Article } VI , Section 13, (Stateireot
of Expenses) is pasted at tnc special election to be conducted on Feb-nary
5, 19SO
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and orciEred pub-
