BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 401 (a)
OF THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE ( 1979 EDITION)
INSOFAR AS IT RELATES TO DRAINAGE PIPE
BE Il ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That , effecti-e May 1 , 1981 , Section 401 ( a) of the
Uniform Plumbing Code (1979 Edition) be amended to read as foltlo�%s
"401 (a) Drainage pipe shall be cast iron , galvanized
steel , galvanized wrought iron, copper, brass, ABS,
PVC, or other appi oved materials hav1ng a smooth
and unifoi m bore, except
(1) That no galvanized wrought iron or galvanized
steel pipe snall be used underground and shall
be keot at least six inches (6") above ground
(2) ABS and PVC installations limited to residen-
tial construction , not more than two (2)
stories in height
