OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
REENACTING CHAPTER 9, ARTICLE VI , SECTION 15
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AS
IT RELATES TO CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Court' s ruling in the case of The Citizens
for Rent Control Coalition, et al v the City of Berkley, et al , the
City repealed Article VI Chanter 9 of the Code of the City of Fort Col-
lins, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XVII §9 of the City Charter, the City
shall adopt an ordinance establishing a ceiling limit on contributions
in City elections
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins be, and it
hereby is, amended by the addition of a new Article VI to read as follows
ARTICLE VI
Campaign Contributions
§9-15 Limits
No person or entity may contribute an amount in excess of five hundred
dollars ($500) in support of or in opposition to any candidate on the
ballot at any City election
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered pub-
lished this 18th day of May, A D 1982 , and to be presented for final
passage on the 1st day of June, A D , 1982
