OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES AND
UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE CAPITAL PROJECTS
FUND AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATED
AMOUNTS FROM THE STREET OVERSIZING FUND AND
GENERAL FUND TO THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Sections 8 and 15, of the Charter of the City of
Fort Collins authorize City Council to appropriate prior year reserves at
any time such reserves are available, to appropriate revenue at any time
during the year in which such revenue is received, and to transfer unex-
pended, appropriated amounts from one fund to another; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to combine the Downtown Development Authority
Walnut Street Intersections Project and the City's East Mountain Avenue
Medians Project into a single project to be called the Mountain Avenue/
Walnut Street Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, the Capital Projects Fund will be receiving $75,344 in
unanticipated revenue from the Downtown Development Authority; and
WHEREAS, funds are also available from the Street Oversizing Fund, the
General Fund, and from Capital Projects prior year reserves for the Moun-
tain Avenue/Walnut Street Improvements Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS:
Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated from unanticipated
revenue from the Downtown Development Authority for expenditure in the
Capital Projects Fund, the total sum of SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED
FORTY-FOUR DOLLARS ($75,344) for the Mountain Avenue/Walnut Street Improve-
ments Project. (For Walnut and Mountain and Walnut and College Intersec-
tions) .
Section 2. That the sum of SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($60,000) is
hereby appropriated for transfer from existing appropriations in the Street
Oversizing Fund to the Capital Projects Fund and appropriated for expendi-
ture in the Capital Projects Fund for the Mountain Avenue/Walnut Street
Improvements Project.(For Medians on Mountain Avenue) .
Section 3. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
prior year reserves in the Capital Projects Fund the total sum of SIXTY
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($60,000) for the Mountain Avenue/Walnut Street Improve-
ments Project. (For additional funding for Walnut and Mountain and Walnut
and College Intersections) .
Section 4. That the sum of NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($9,000) is hereby
appropriated for transfer from existing appropriations in the General Fund
to the Capital Projects Fund and appropriated for expenditure in the
Capital Projects Fund for the Mountain Avenue/Walnut Street Improvements
Project. (for repairs to Senior Center foundation) . -
Section 5. No bonus award is authorized to be paid for early com-
pletion before November 8, 1984.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered pub-
lished this 4th day of September, A.D. 1984, and to be presented for final
passage on the 18th day of September, A.D. 1984.
