OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
BEING AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED -
REVENUE IN THE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins permits the Council to appropriate revenue at any time during the
year in which such revenue is received; and
WHEREAS, in order to promote more orderly development of the City, the
Council has determined that reservations should be made for the alignment
of, among other areas, the parkway across the northeast sector of the City;
and
WHEREAS, such reservations would serve to enable the City to later
acquire the right-of-way for any reserved areas at lower cost than would be
incurred by the City if development were allowed to occur thereon; and
WHEREAS, by reservation thereof, the City can protect itself against
the increased costs that development would otherwise cause; and
WHEREAS, in order to make such reservation, revisions must first be
made to the City's Master Street Plan; and
WHEREAS, such revisions to the Master Street Plan will further serve
to inform owners and developers of properties which are affected by the
reservations in order that they may plan their developments accordingly;
and
WHEREAS, the City is receiving reimbursable funds from the Colorado
Department of Highways P.L. (Planning) Funds through the Larimer-Weld
Regional Council of Governments totaling Eleven Thousand Three Hundred
Forty-Six Dollars ($11 ,346) for a Master Street Plan Update. _
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated in the Transportation Services
Fund for expenditure in 1984 the total sum of Eleven Thousand Three Hundred
Forty-Six Dollars ($11 ,346) to pay the costs of a Master Street Plan
Update.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered pub-
lished this 3rd day of July, A.D. 1984, and to be presented for final
passage on the 17thday of July A.D. 1984.
