OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
BEING AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED
REVENUE IN THE DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 15, of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins permits the Council to appropriate unanticipated revenue received
at any time during the year; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins approved a loan in
the amount of One Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand Dollars ($183,000.00) from
the City to the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council of the City of Fort Collins
to appropriate the funds in the amount of One Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand
Dollars ($183 ,000.00) received by the Downtown Development Authority
pursuant to the loan between the City and the Downtown Development Au-
thority for the purpose of purchasing a parking lot from the County of
Larimer, Colorado; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the funds be available for expenditure
on or before March 31, 1983, in order to preserve the Fort Collins Downtown
Development Authority' s contractual right to purchase such real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS:
Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure in the
Downtown Development Authority Fund the sum of One Hundred Eighty-Three
Thousand Dollars ($183,000.00) to be used for the purchase of a parking lot
located in the 100 block of South Mason.
Section 2. That the immediate adoption of this ordinance is necessary
to preserve, protect and advance the general welfare of the residents of
the City of Fort Collins, therefore, the Council hereby determines that an
emergency exists requiring the immediate passage of this ordinance; and
this ordinance is tHerefore, enacted pursuant to Section 6 of Article II of
the Charter of the City of Fort Collins as an emergency ordinance and shall
be effective upon its passage.
Introduced, considered favorably by 7 members of the Council of the
City of Fort Collins and finally passesd as an emergency ordinance and
ordered published this 15th day of March, 1983.
