OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING SECTION 2-82 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS RELATING TO MEMBERSHIP OF THE
AFFORDABLE HOUSING BOARD
WHEREAS, on August 3, 1993, City Council adopted Ordinance No. 084, 1993, creating
an Affordable Housing Board (the "Board"); and
WHEREAS, the Board was created with a membership of nine members; and
WHEREAS, the Board has requested that its membership be reduced from nine to seven
members; and
WHEREAS,through the attrition ofboard members by resignation and the expiration of one
member's term of office, the membership of the Board will be reduced to seven members as of
January 1, 2008, and, in light of the Board's request, Council believes that the number of members
of the Board should be maintained at that level thereafter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That Section 2-82(a) of the Code of the City of Fort Collins be amended to
read as follows:
Sec. 2-82. Membership; term.
(a) The Board shall consist of seven (7) members appointed by the City
Council, which members shall possess expertise in affordable housing issues,
including, without limitation, issues pertaining to development, finance, lending,
charitable and low income services and general community services.
Section 2. That the effective date of the foregoing change in membership shall be
January 1, 2008.
