HomeMy WebLinkAbout100 - 07/18/1989 - APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE GENERAL FUND (FOR POLICE AND TRAFFIC ENGINEERING COSTS ASSO ORDINANCE NO. 100 , 1989 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE GENERAL FUND WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of any expense from prior year reserves at any time such reserves are available; and WHEREAS, the City Council has directed the City Manager, City Attorney, and Municipal Judge to develop a creative strategy to address the problems associated with cruising; and WHEREAS, additional funds in the amount of $54,400 are needed to implement the cruising strategy, $38,400 for Police overtime, and $16,000 for Traffic Engineering costs; and WHEREAS, funds are available in the General Fund Undesignated reserve. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from undesignated prior year reserves in the General Fund the sum of Fifty-four Thousand Four Hundred Dollars (E54,400) for Police and Traffic Engineering costs associated with the implementation of the cruising strategy. Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this 20th day of June, A.D. 1989, and to be presented for final passage on the 18th day of July, A.D. 1989.
