HomeMy WebLinkAbout109 - 07/19/1994 - APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES FOR A LOVELAND/FORT COLLINS CORRIDOR PLANNING STUDY ORDINANCE NO. 109, 1994 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES FOR A LOVELAND/FORT COLLINS CORRIDOR PLANNING STUDY WHEREAS, the City Council Policy Agenda includes the development of a land use plan for the Loveland/Fort Collins Corridor; and WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins is working on a cooperative program with Larimer County and Loveland to develop a land use plan for the corridor; and WHEREAS, Larimer County has hired a consultant for $40,000 to assist with the planning project and has requested financial contributions of $10,000 each from the City of Fort Collins and the City of Loveland; and WHEREAS, this ordinance appropriates $10,000 for Fort Collins share of the Loveland/Fort Collins Corridor Planning Study from undesignated reserves; and WHEREAS, Article V, Section 7 of the Charter authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of any expense from reserves accumulated in prior years notwithstanding that such reserves were not appropriated for expenditure in the annual appropriation ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from prior year reserves in the General Fund the sum of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000) for a Loveland/Fort Collins Corridor Planning Study.
