OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ADOPTING THE 1985 CITY OF FORT COLLINS
PAY PLAN AND APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR
RESERVES IN THE GENERAL FUND
WHEREAS , the City wishes to continue to be able to attract and
keep quality employees; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to continue to emphasize the concept of
employee productivity; and
WHEREAS , the City wishes to recognize the good job done by our
employees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously set aside for the 1985 pay
plan monies equal to a 5% overall increase; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8 of the City of Fort Collins permits the
Council to appropriate prior year reserves at any time such reserves are
available; and
WHEREAS, to implement fully the performance pay plan for the City of
Fort Collins for 1985 requires an additional $75,075 in the General Fund;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS:
Section 1 . That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
Prior Year Reserves in the General Fund the sum of Seventy-Five Thousand
Seventy-Five Dollars ($75,075) for the 1985 performance pay plan.
Section 2. That the performance based pay plan as presented by the
Employee Development Department be adopted for 1985.
Section 3 . That the effective date of this pay plan shall be the
first pay period in January, 1985.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered pub-
lished this 18th day of December, A.D. 1984 and to be presented for final
passage on the 15th day of January, A.D. 1985.
