OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO APPROVE
THE CASE NOT REQUIRING BIDDING AND MULTI-YEAR AWARD
FOR THE PURCHASE OF HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
MAINTENANCE FROM PLANNING RESEARCH CORPORATION
WHEREAS, Planning Research Corporation (PRC) built and installed the
Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System; and
WHEREAS, the City has enjoyed a long term relationship with PRC and
knows its ability to maintain the hardware and software; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-123 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, a case not requiring bidding item to be purchased at a cost
exceeding $20,000 must be approved by the City Council ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council may approve a case not requiring bidding for
items based on particular individual usage or professional advice; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article V, Section 31 of the Charter of the City
of Fort Collins, no contract for service shall be made for a period longer
than two (2) years unless authorized by ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Purchasing Agent be, and he hereby is, authorized to
negotiate the purchase and five-year award for hardware and software
maintenance from Planning Research Corporation (PRC) .
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 3rd day of January, 1989, and to be presented for final
passage on 17th day of January, 1989.
