OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ENTER INTO
A CONTRACT FOR SERVICES FOR A TERM OF THREE YEARS
WHEREAS, Section 8-129 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins (the
Code) authorizes contracts for services of a professional , technical or
consulting nature, the major result of which would yield to the City a
report, plan or similar document upon approval of the City Manager after
evaluation in accordance with the procedure for selection of professional ;
and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent has determined that the performance of
pre-employment physicals comes within the purview of this Section of the
Code; and
WHEREAS, in July of 1989, the City issued a request for proposals for
the performance of pre-employment physicals for applicants for certain City
employment positions; and
WHEREAS, upon evaluation of the proposals, in accordance with the
City's procedure, it has been determined that Doctors Neighborhood Care
Center should be selected to perform such work; and
WHEREAS , funds for this expenditure have been budgeted and
appropriated and are available in the Employee Development Department' s
budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has approved this Contract for Professional
Services; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article V, Section 31 of the Charter of the City
of Fort Collins, no contract for services shall be for a period longer than
two (2) years unless authorized by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Contract between the City and Doctors Neighborhood Care
Center for the performance of pre-employment physicals is for a term three
(3) years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Purchasing Agent be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a Contract with Doctors Neighborhood Care Center for the performance
of pre-employment physicals for a term three (3) years.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 19th day of December A.D. 1989, and to be presented for
final passage on the 16th day of January A.D. 1990.
