OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE GENERAL FUND
AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATED AMOUNTS
TO VARIOUS FUNDS
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of
any expense from prior year reserves at any time such reserves are
available; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 15, of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins authorizes the City Council to transfer unexpended, appropriated
amounts from one fund to another upon the recommendation of the City
Manager, provided that the purpose of the initial expenditure of said funds
no longer exists; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 89-227 the employee medical premium to
be paid by the City will increase in January 1990; and
WHEREAS, several funds will need additional appropriations in 1990 to
cover the increased cost; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the General Fund prior year reserves.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1 . That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
prior year reserves in the General Fund the total sum of TWO HUNDRED
SIXTEEN THOUSAND TWENTY-FOUR DOLLARS (E216,024) for the following:
General Fund employee medical premiums $187,666
Recreation Fund employee medical premiums 12,707
Cultural Services Fund employee medical premiums 7,104
Communications Fund employee medical premiums 5,106
Cemetery Fund employee medical premiums 2,553
Benefits Fund employee medical premiums 888
$216,024
Section 2. That TWENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED FIFTY-EIGHT
DOLLARS ($28,358) is authorized for transfer from the General Fund to the
five other funds as listed in Section 1 above and appropriated therein for
employee medical premiums.
