OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
REPEALING SECTION 17-103 OF THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF FORT COLLINS PERTAINING TO
BALL PLAYING
WHEREAS, Section 17-103 of the City Code presently prohibits ball playing
upon any public street, alley or sidewalk; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that such prohibition against ball
playing is not necessary for the protection of the public health, safety and
welfare and unduly interferes with the liberties and activities of the citizens
of the City of Fort Collins.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that Section 17-103, which reads as follows:
Sec. 17-103. Ball playing.
No person shall throw, kick or knock a ball or play ball in any
other manner upon any public street, alley or sidewalk.

Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 21st day of May, A.D. 1991 , and to be presented for final passage on the
4th day of June, A.D. 1991 .
