HomeMy WebLinkAbout066 - 07/02/1991 - APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE GENERAL FUND FOR NEIGHBORHOOD COMPATILIBITY GUIDELINES PROJ ORDINANCE NO. 66, 1991 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE GENERAL FUND WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of any expense from reserves accumulated in prior years, notwithstanding that such reserves were not appropriated for expenditures in the annual appropriation ordinance; and WHEREAS, the City received a grant in 1988 from the Ford Foundation in the amount of $100,000 for advancing the goals and objectives of the Land Development Guidance System (LOGS) ; and WHEREAS, unspent grant funds in the amount of $30, 113 are in the General Fund prior year restricted reserves; and WHEREAS, staff plans to spend the remaining grant funds on the "neighborhood compatibility" guidelines project and the completion of the neighborhood signage project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from restricted prior year reserves in the General Fund the sum of THIRTY THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED THIRTEEN DOLLARS ($30, 113) for the "neighborhood compatibility" guidelines project and the completion of the neighborhood signage project.
