OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING BUILDING AND IMPROVEMENT
RESERVES IN THE GENERAL FUND AND
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATED
AMOUNTS TO THE RECREATION FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins
(the "Charter") authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment
of any expense from reserves accumulated in prior years, notwithstanding that
such reserves were not appropriated for expenditure in the annual appropriation
ordinance; and
WHEREAS, a condenser failure in March 1991, on the refrigeration unit at
the Edora Pool & Ice Center resulted in emergency repairs and replacement of the
condenser; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the repairs and replacement of the condenser total
$64,216; and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned costs were not appropriated for expenditure
in the Recreation Fund; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $64,216 are available in the General Fund
building and improvement reserve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS,
as follows:
Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated from building and improvement
reserves in the General Fund the sum of SIXTY-FOUR THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SIXTEEN
DOLLARS ($64,216) for transfer to the Recreation Fund.
Section 2. That SIXTY-FOUR THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SIXTEEN DOLLARS ($64,216)
is authorized for transfer from the General Fund to the Recreation Fund and
appropriated therein to cover costs of repairing and replacing the condenser unit
on the refrigeration unit at Edora Pool & Ice Center.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 4th day of June, A.D. 1991, and to be presented for final passage on the
2nd day of July, A.D. 1991 .
