OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
EXPANDING THE SIZE OF THE COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN
WHEREAS, the Commission on the Status of Women was established in 1986
comprised of 7 members and 2 alternates; and
WHEREAS, the Commission is requesting that the membership be expanded
to allow them to better address the identified issues and workload.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That the membership of the Commission on the Status of
Women be increased from 7 members plus 2 alternates to 11 members plus 2
alternates.
Section 2. That the 4 new members be appointed to terms expiring July
1, 1990.
Section 3. That the Commission return to its original composition of
7 members and 2 alternates on July 1, 1990; and
Section 4. That the Council may consider a request by the Commission
that the increased size be extended beyond July 1, 1990.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 17th day of February A.D. 1987, and to be presented for
final passage on the 17th day of March, A.D. 1987.
