OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING SECTION 2-353(2) OF THE CODE OF
THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS RELATING TO
THE FUNCTIONS OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD
WHEREAS, Title 31, Article 23 of Colorado Revised Statutes contains
statutory provisions pertaining to " planning" and "zoning " by
municipalities; and
WHEREAS, Section 2-353 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins
provides that the Planning and Zoning Board shall have the function to
exercise the authority vested in it by state zoning laws; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City has determined that it is in the best
interest of the City to clarify that the Planning and Zoning Board is also
intended to have the function of exercising the authority vested in it by
state "planning" laws.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that Section 2-353(2) of the Code of the City of Fort Collins is
hereby amended to read as follows:
(2) To exercise the authority vested in it by state
planning and zoning laws;
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 4th day of October, A.D. 1988, and to be presented for final
passage on the 18th day of October, A.D. 1988. --7
