HomeMy WebLinkAbout049 - 05/15/1990 - APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE WATER FUND TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL WATER SUPPLIES ORDINANCE NO. 49 , 1990 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS BEING AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE WATER FUND WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of any expense from reserves accumulated in prior years, notwithstanding that such reserves were not appropriated for expenditure in the annual appropriation ordinance; and WHEREAS, the City desires to purchase additional water supplies which are estimated to cost approximately $1,800,000; and WHEREAS, funds are available in the Water Fund Reserves from previous year payments made to satisfy raw water requirements. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that there is appropriated for expenditure from prior year reserves in the Water Fund the total sum of ONE MILLION EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,800,000) to purchase additional water supplies. Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this 1st day of May A.D. 1990, and to be presented for final passage on the 15th day of May, A.D. 1990.
