OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE GENERAL FUND
FOR POLICE SERVICES 1996 DRUNK DRIVING ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS,Article V, Section 14 of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the City
Council to appropriate by ordinance unanticipated revenue which is the result of rate or fee increases
or new revenue sources at any time during the year in which such revenue is received; and
WHEREAS,the City will receive state grant funds in 1996 in the amount of$55,000 to be
used to support the Fort Collins Drunk Driving Enforcement Program; and
WHEREAS, Council has adopted Resolution 95-154, approving and authorizing the Mayor
to execute the Drunk Driving Enforcement Grant Contract #L-03-96 between the City and the
Colorado Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS,the City's share of matching funds in the amount of$106,462 is included in the
1996 Proposed Police Services Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that upon receipt, there is hereby appropriated for expenditure in the General Fund from
unanticipated grant revenue the sum of FIFTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($55,000) for the
Police Services 1996 Drunk Driving Enforcement Program.
