OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE
FROM THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY
FOR THE FORT COLLINS EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS,Article V, Section 14 of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the City
Council to appropriate by ordinance unanticipated revenue which is the result of rate or fee increases
or new revenue sources at any time during the year in which such revenue is received; and
WHEREAS,Fort Collins Police Services has been awarded various grants totalling $21,000
from the Federal Emergency Management Agency; and
WHEREAS, $16,800 is allocated to Police Services to be used for the Police Services'
Emergency Management Program; and
WHEREAS, $4,200 is allocated to the Stormwater Utility for funding the Floodplain
Administrator position; and
WHEREAS,these grants require an equal amount of City matching funds which are included
in Police Services' and Stormwater Utility 1995 budgets.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that,upon receipt, there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated grant
revenue:
1. The sum of SIXTEEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($16,800) for
expenditure in the General Fund for the Fort Collins Police Services' Emergency Management
Program.
2. The sum of FOUR THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($4,200) for
expenditure in the Storm Drainage Fund for the Floodplain Administrator position.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered ublished this 21st day of
February, A.D., 1995, and to be presented for final passage on th of Marc D 1995.
