OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES
IN THE GENERAL FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of
any expense from prior year reserves at any time such reserves are
available; and
WHEREAS, Fort Collins Police Services has seized money and property
used in criminal activities and has caused them to be forfeited in
accordance with the Colorado Contraband Forfeiture Act; and
WHEREAS, the funds received from these forfeitures have been deposited
in a restricted reserve in the General Fund to be used for expenses other
than those constituting the normal operating needs of Police Services in
accordance with Section 16-13-506 C.R.S.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from prior year
reserves in the General Fund the total sum of FIFTY-EIGHT THOUSAND ONE
HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLARS ($58,120) for Police Services' expenditures which
are consistent with its functions and duties but distinct from its normal
operating needs.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 6th day of February, A.D. 1990, and to be presented for
final passage on the 20th day of February, A. . 1990,
