OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATED AMOUNTS
FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE GOLF FUND AND
APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE GOLF FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins authorizes City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of any
expense from prior year reserves at any time such reserves are available;
and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins authorizes the Council to transfer unexpended, appropriated amounts
from one fund to another upon the recommendation of the City Manager,
provided that the purpose for the initial expenditure of said funds no
longer exists; and
WHEREAS, staff and the Golf Board have recommended the renovation of
the existing City Park Nine Clubhouse building and construction of a new
maintenance/golf car storage building; and
WHEREAS, $19,300 was appropriated in the Facilities budget to repair
the City Park Nine Clubhouse building; and
WHEREAS, $120,700 in funds for renovation construction services are
also available in the Golf Fund Surcharge prior year reserves; and
WHEREAS, $140,000 in funds for the construction of a new maintenance/
golf car storage building are available in Golf Fund prior year reserves.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS:
Section 1 . That NINETEEN THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($19,300) is
hereby transferred from the General Fund to the Golf Fund, and appropriated
for expenditure in the Golf Fund for the renovation of the existing City
Park Nine Clubhouse building.
Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
prior year Surcharge Reserves in the Golf Fund the total sum of ONE HUNDRED
TWENTY THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ($120,700) for the renovation of the
existing City Park Nine Clubhouse building.
Section 3. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
prior year reserves in the Golf Fund the total sum of ONE HUNDRED FORTY
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($140,000) for the construction of a new maintenance/ golf
car storage building.
