OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
VACATING A PORTION OF AN EXISTING ALLEY IN BLOCK 274
WESTSIDE ADDITION
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has been petitioned
to vacate the center portion of the alleyway in Block 274 of the Westside
Addition, set forth in more particular below; and
WHEREAS, vacation of the alley is being requested because a large tree
is prohibiting passage through the alley without damage to private
property; and
WHEREAS, the full width of the alley to be vacated shall be reserved
by the City as a utility easement, and
WHEREAS, all utilities and neighboring residents have been contacted
and only minor objections were raised by some periphery property owners;
and
WHEREAS, the rights of the residents of the City of Fort Collins will
in no way be prejudiced or injured by said vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That the alleyway in Block 274 of the Westside Addition,
set out more particularly as follows, to wit:
The twenty foot, north-south alley between Lots 6, 7 and Lots 20,
21 and the 15 foot, east-west alley between Lots 27, 28 and Lots
6 and 21 in Block 274, Westside Addition to the City of Fort
Collins, County of Larimer, State of Colorado, more particularly
described as follows.-
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 7, thence South along
the West line of Lots 7 and 6 70 feet to the Southwest corner of
Lot 6, thence East along the South line of Lot 6, 25 feet, thence
South - 15 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 28, thence West
along the North line of Lots 28 and 27 70 feet to the Northwest
corner of Lot 27, thence North 15 feet to the South line of Lot
21, thence East along the South line of Lot 21, 25 feet to the
Southeast corner of said Lot 21, thence North along the East line
of Lots 21 and 20, 70 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 20,
thence East, 20 feet to the point of beginning.
be, and the same hereby is, vacated, abated and abolished.
Section 2. That the entire width of the alley is reserved by the City
of Fort Collins for utility easement purposes.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 21st day of April , A.D. 1987, and to be presented for final
passage on the 19th day of May, A.D. 1987.
