OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY.OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION
OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 425 1OTH STREET,
FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, KNOWN AS THE ROMERO HOUSE,
FROM FORT COLLINS PARTNERS I, LLC
AND APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE GENERAL FUND
WHEREAS,Fort Collins Partners I,LLC wishes to donate certain property to the City that
is legally described as Lot 1, Block 12, Anderson Place, Fort Collins, Colorado (the "Property");
and
WHEREAS, in cooperation with Poudre Landmarks Foundation, the Property, after
renovation, will become a living history museum, neighborhood resource center and a site for
cultural events for the benefit of the citizens of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, the value of the Property is estimated to be $104,000; and
WHEREAS, City staff has determined that the donation of the Property from Fort Collins
Partners I, LLC will be beneficial for the citizens of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS,Article V,Section 9,of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the City
Council to make supplemental appropriations by ordinance at any time during the fiscal year,
provided that the total amount of such supplemental appropriations,in combination with all previous
appropriations for that fiscal year,does not exceed the then current estimate of actual and anticipated
revenues to be received during the fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, City staff has determined that the appropriation of the Property, as described
herein, will not cause the total amount appropriated in the relevant funds to exceed the current
estimate of actual and anticipated revenues to be received in that fund during the fiscal year; and
WHEREAS,it is the desire of the Council to authorize the acceptance of the donation of the
Property from Fort Collins Partners I,LLC and to appropriate$104,000 of unanticipated revenue in
the form of a donation of land in the General Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby approves and authorizes the acceptance by the
Mayor of a deed of conveyance of the Property.
Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated revenue in
the General Fund the sum of ONE HUNDRED FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS ($104,000) for
General Fund purposes.

May, A.D. 2002, and presented for final passage on the 4th day of June, A.D. 2002.
