OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE GENERAL FUND
FOR THE LIBRARY OUTREACH PROGRAM
WHEREAS, on May 18, 1999 Council passed Resolution 99-60, authorizing an
Intergovernmental Agreement with the County to provide library services to residents of Larimer
County (the "Agreement"); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement, the City will receive $119,340 from Latimer
County,of which$29,835 will be for the provision of library outreach services to serve the disabled,
elderly, and other isolated persons in the County; and
WHEREAS, said funds in the amount of $29,835 were not previously budgeted or
appropriated; and
WHEREAS,Article V, Section 9,of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the City
Council to make supplemental appropriations by ordinance at any time during the fiscal year,
provided that the total amount of such supplemental appropriations,in combination with all previous
appropriations for that fiscal year, do not exceed the then current estimate of actual and anticipated
revenues to be received during the fiscal year; and
WHEREAS,the appropriation ofthe unanticipated revenue from Larimer County referenced
herein will not cause total appropriations to exceed the current estimate of actual and anticipated
revenues for fiscal year 1999.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated revenue in the
General Fund the sum of TWENTY NINE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTY FIVE
DOLLARS ($29,835) for library outreach services in Larimer County, upon receipt of such funds
from Larimer County.
Introduced and considered favorably on first reading and ordered published this 18th day of
May, A.D. 1999, and to be presented for final passage on the 1 st day of June, A.D. 1999.
