OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE
TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FUND TO THE TRANSIT SERVICES FUND
WHEREAS, the City, by Ordinance No. 96, 1989, has created a fund known
as the Transit Services Fund to account for transit services; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 15, of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins the Council may, by ordinance, upon the recommendation of the City
Manager, transfer any unexpended appropriated amount or portion thereof
from one fund to another provided that the purpose for the initial
expenditure no longer exists; and
WHEREAS, the removal of the revenue and expenditure authority for
public transit services from the Transportation Services Fund effectively
extinguishes the authority to expend public transit moneys for their
initial purposes in that fund; and
WHEREAS, the creation of the Transit Services Fund requires that
certain assets appropriated in the Transportation Services Fund for transit
purposes be transferred to and expended from the Transit Services Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that appropriations of ONE MILLION THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY-SEVEN
THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FORTY-SIX DOLLARS ($1,377,546) are hereby authorized
for transfer from the Transportation Services Fund to the Transit Services
Fund.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 20th day of June, A.D. 1989, and to be presented for final
passage on the 18th day of July, A.D. 1989. _
