OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE CEMETERY FUND
AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATED AMOUNTS BETWEEN
FUNDS TO BE USED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
MAUSOLEUM/COLUMBARIUM FEATURE COMPLEX CAPITAL PROJECT
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 7, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins (the "Charter")
authorizes the City to provide by ordinance for the payment of any expense from prior year reserves
at any time such reserves are available; and
WHEREAS,Article V, Section 14 of the Charter authorizes the City Council to transfer by
ordinance, upon the recommendation of the City Manager, any unexpended appropriated amount
or portion thereof from one fund to another, provided that the purpose for which the transferred
funds are to be expended remains unchanged; and
WHEREAS, sales of niches in the new Mausoleum/Columbarium Feature Complex Capital
Project at Grandview Cemetery have far exceeded projections and there is an immediate need of
more niches; and
WHEREAS, the Cemetery Fund has prior year reserves available from 1995; and
WHEREAS,this Ordinance will appropriate funding in the Cemetery Fund and transfer such
funds to the Mausoleum/Columbarium Feature Complex Capital project for 96 more niches to be
added to the east end of the mausoleum; and
WHEREAS,the Cemetery Fund will save money and the granite color of the mausoleum will
be more closely matched by adding the niches at the present time, instead of in 2001 as originally
planned.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from prior year reserves in the
Cemetery Fund the sum of TWENTY THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($20,900) for
transfer to the Capital Projects Fund,Mausoleum/Columbarium Feature Complex,to be used for the
construction of an additional 96 niches.
Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated revenue in
the Capital Projects Fund, Mausoleum/Columbarium Feature Complex Project, the sum of
TWENTY THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($20,900) to be used for the construction
of an additional 96 niches at the east end of the mausoleum.

February,A.D. 1996, and to be presented for final passage on the 5tlyd�y of March, A.D. 1996.
