OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ESTABLISHING A NEW CHAPTER OF THE CODE OF THE CITY
TO BE NUMBERED CHAPTER 29 AND ENTITLED
"ZONING/LAND USE REGULATIONS"
WHEREAS,the Council of the City of Fort Collins,by Ordinance No. 51, 1997,adopted the
Land Use Code of the City; and
WHEREAS, said Land Use Code is not contained within the book known as the "Code of
the City of Fort Collins"; and
WHEREAS, Section 1.7.1 of the Land Use Code defines and describes its relationship to the
Code of the City of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that it is in the best
interests of the City that specific reference be made in the "Code of the City of Fort Collins"to the
"Land Use Code".
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, that the Code of the City of Fort Collins be amended by the establishment of a new
Chapter 29 to be entitled"Land Use Code"to read as follows:
CHAPTER 29
ZONING/LAND USE REGULATIONS
Section 29-1 Cross reference to Land Use Code.
The Land Use Code, as adopted by Ordinance No. 51, 1997, and subsequently
amended by the City Council (the "Land Use Code") is incorporated herein by this
reference. The Land Use Code may be used, as applicable, to support the
implementation of the Code of the City of Fort Collins; and the Code of the City of
Fort Collins may be used, as applicable,to support the implementation of the Land
Use Code.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this 18th day of
November,A.D. 1997,and to be presented for final passage on the 2nd day of December,A.D. 19917.
