OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE
STREETS DEPARTMENT PORTION OF THE
TRANSPORTATION FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 14, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins
(the "Charter") authorizes the City Council to appropriate unanticipated revenue
which is the result of new revenue sources at any time during the year in which
such revenue is received; and
WHEREAS, the Streets Department, through their Work for Others program,
contracts with other City departments and divisions to provide patching,
sweeping, minor capital construction, drainage facility maintenance, signing and
painting services on a cost/reimbursement basis; and
WHEREAS, the requests for said services have surpassed the funds
appropriated as part of the 1993 budget in the Work for Others ("WFO") program;
and
WHEREAS, the Streets Department anticipates needing additional
appropriations totalling $750,000 in order to complete their projected WFO work
plan for 1993; and
WHEREAS, the total amount of revenue to be received from City departments
and divisions requesting work of the Streets Department is also estimated to be
$750,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows:
Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
unanticipated revenue in the Streets Department portion of the Transportation
Fund the sum of SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($750,000) to be used in
conjunction with previously appropriated funds for the Work for Others program.
Section 2. That the appropriation is contingent upon the Streets
Department's actual receipt of the aforementioned unanticipated revenue, and the
amounts hereby appropriated shall in no event exceed the amounts actually
received by the Streets Department from City departments and divisions requesting
work.

this 21st day of September, A.D. 1993, and to be presented ,final pass
