OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE
RECREATION FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 7, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins
authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of any expense
from reserves accumulated in prior years notwithstanding that such reserves were
not appropriated for expenditure in the annual appropriation ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Fund had savings at the end of 1992; and
WHEREAS, these savings are accounted for in the Recreation Fund under
various reserves established for specific purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Division is requesting the use of these savings,
specifically those accumulated in the reserve designated for Equipment and
Capital Needs, to be used for equipment, repairs, and capital needs at the Edora
Pool/Ice Center, and remodeling of facilities to accommodate existing recreation
sports staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from prior year reserves
designated for Equipment and Capital Needs in the Recreation Fund the sum of
SEVENTY-SIX THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED THIRTY DOLLARS (E76,730) to be used for
equipment, repairs, and capital needs at the Edora Pool/Ice Center, and facility
remodeling costs to accommodate existing staff.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 7th day of September, A.D. 1993, and to be presented for final passage on
the 21st day of September, A.D. 1993.
