HomeMy WebLinkAbout096 - 09/15/1992 - APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE FROM THE COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD TO CONDUCT A WATER SA ORDINANCE NO. 96 , 1992 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE FROM THE COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING A WATER SAVINGS RESEARCH STUDY WHEREAS, Article V, Section 14 of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the City Council to appropriate by ordinance unanticipated revenues which are the result of rate or fee increases or new revenue sources at any time during the year in which such revenue is received; and WHEREAS, the Fort Collins Water Utility Department has been awarded a grant in the amount of $10,000 from the Colorado Water Conservation Board, through the State Office of Water Conservation; and WHEREAS, said grant money will be used by the Water Utility Department to conduct a research study to determine the water-saving benefits of adding organic material to landscaping soils. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that, the aforementioned unanticipated grant revenue from the Colorado Water Conservation Board, in the amount of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000) , is hereby appropriated for expenditure in the Water Fund for a research study to determine the water-saving benefits of adding organic material to landscaping soils. Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this 1st day of September, A.D. 1992, and to be presented for final passage on the 15th day of September, A.D. 1992.
