OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 21, 1998
WHEREAS, on March 3, 1998, the Council of the City of Fort Collins adopted n second
reading, Ordinance No. 21, 1998, which ordinance repealed and reenacted Article II Chapter 13
of the City Code concerning discrimination ("the Ordinance"); and
WHEREAS,on April 7, 1998,a petition was submitted to the City Cler ,which petition has
been certified by the City Clerk as containing a sufficient number of signature o refer the Ordinance
to a vote of the registered electors of the City; and
WHEREAS,said petitions were presented to the City Council its April 21, 1998 meeting;
and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Article X, Section 2 of the C er of the City of Fort Collins,the
presentation to Council of a petition certified by the Cit Clerk as sufficient for referendum
automatically suspends the operation of the ordinance in q stion pending repeal by Councilor final
determination by the electors; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determi ed that it is in the best interest of the health,
safety, and welfare of the City and its citizens th the Ordinance be repealed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORD ED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that Ordinance No. 21, 1998 b , and hereby is, repealed in its entirety.
