OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE GENERAL
FUND FOR FACADE RESTORATION OF 328 REMINGTON STREET,
THE HISTORIC 1904 FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has been awarded a grant in the amount of$162,362
from the Colorado Historical Society's State Historical Fund; and
WHEREAS,the grant will be used to restore 328 Remington Street, the historic 1904 First
Baptist Church, which will become the "Old Town School of Film. Theatre and Dance"; and
WHEREAS, the facade restoration of 328 Remington Street will cost$324,205; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of a related agreement, the owner of the building will
provide matching funds to the City in the total amount of$161,843; and
WHEREAS, the Grant contract requires that the City administer and distribute the grant
funds and the cash matching funds; and
WHEREAS,Article V, Section 9,of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the City
Council to make supplemental appropriations by ordinance at any time during the fiscal year,
provided thatthe total amount of such supplemental appropriations,in combination with all previous
appropriations for that fiscal year, do not exceed the then current estimate of actual and anticipated
revenues to be received during the fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated grant
revenue in the General Fund the sum of ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-TWO THOUSAND THREE
HUNDRED SIXTY-TWO DOLLARS ($162,362) for expenditure in the General Fund for facade
restoration of 328 Remington Street.
Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated revenue in
the General Fund the sum of ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED
FORTY-THREE DOLLARS($161,843)for expenditure in the General Fund for facade restoration
of 328 Remington Street.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this 15th day of
June, A.D. 1999, and to be presented for final passage on the 6th day of July, A.D. 1999.
