OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE GENERAL
FUND FOR FACADE RESTORATIONS OF 210-218 WALNUT STREET
AND 251 LINDEN STREET
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has been awarded a grant in the amount of$140,000
from the Colorado Historical Society's State Historical Fund; and
WHEREAS,the Grant funds will be used to restore the street front facades and structurally
stabilize 210-219 Walnut Street and 251 Linden Street buildings in the Old Town Fort Collins
Historic District; and
WHEREAS, the restoration project for 210-218 Walnut Street and 251 Linden Street
buildings will cost$296,700; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of related agreements, the owners of the buildings will
provide matching funds to the City in the total amount of$156,700; and
WHEREAS, the Grant contract requires that the City administer and distribute the grant
funds and the cash matching funds; and
WHEREAS,Article V, Section 9,of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the City
Council to make supplemental appropriations by ordinance at any time during the fiscal year,
provided that the total amount of such supplemental appropriations,in combination with all previous
appropriations for that fiscal year, do not exceed the then current estimate of actual and anticipated
revenues to be received during the fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated grant
revenue in the General Fund the sum of ONE HUNDRED FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS
($140,000) for expenditure in the General Fund for restorations of 210-218 Walnut Street and 251
Linden Street.
Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated revenue in
the General Fund the sum of ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-SIX THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($156,700) for expenditure in the General Fund for restorations of 210-218 Walnut
Street and 251 Linden Street.
