HomeMy WebLinkAbout178 - 12/19/2000 - APPROPRIATING PROCEEDS OF A U.S. BUREAU OF RECLAMATION GRANT AS UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE WATER F ORDINANCE NO. 178, 2000 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING PROCEEDS OF A U. S. BUREAU OF RECLAMATION GRANT AS UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE WATER FUND WHEREAS, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has approved a grant to the City in the amount of $63,383 for the purchase of water quality monitoring equipment that will be installed at Horsetooth Reservoir; and WHEREAS, the City Council, pursuant to Resolution 2000-137, authorizes the City to enter into a contract with U.S. Department of Interior U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for the purchase of water quality monitoring equipment; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the water quality monitoring device is to provide water treatment entities with advance notice of any changes to raw water quality, and provide a basis for decisions regarding the need for any recreational restrictions during the repair of the dams at Horsetooth Reservoir; and WHEREAS, no City matching funds are required; and WHEREAS, Article V, Section 9, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins authorizes the City Council to make supplemental appropriations by ordinance at any time during the fiscal year, provided that the total amount of such supplemental appropriations, in conjunction with all previous appropriations for that fiscal year do not exceed the current estimate of actual or anticipated revenues to be received during the fiscal year; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council to appropriate the $63,383 from the U.S. Department of Interior U.S. Bureau of Reclamation Grant in the Water Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated revenue in the Water Fund U.S. Bureau of Reclamation Grant project, the amount of SIXTY THREE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED EIGHTY-THREE DOLLARS ($63,383) for the purchase of water quality monitoring equipment.
