OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED GRANT REVENUE IN THE GENERAL FUND
FOR POLICE SERVICES FOR THE JUVENILE JUSTICE AND
DELINQUENCY PREVENTION GRANT PROJECT
WHEREAS,the City of Fort Collins has been awarded a grant in the amount of$18,500 from
the Colorado Division of Criminal Justice, Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention; and
WHEREAS, the grant is to be used for salaries and costs associated with implementing a
Youth Community/Family Conference Program; and
WHEREAS,a part-time Conference Coordinator will be hired to work with law enforcement,
the school district, and members of the juvenile Criminal Justice System to ensure that
community/family conferences are made available, as an option, in juvenile criminal cases; and
WHEREAS,Article V, Section 9,of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the City
Council to make supplemental appropriations by ordinance at any time during the fiscal year,
provided that the total amount of such supplemental appropriations,in combination with all previous
appropriations for that fiscal year,does not exceed the then current estimate of actual and anticipated
revenues to be received during the fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated from unanticipated grant revenue in the General Fund
the sum of EIGHTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($18,500) for expenditure in
the General Fund for the Police Services Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Grant Project.
Introduced and considered favorably on first reading and ordered published this 19th day of
September, A.D. 2000, and to be presented for final passage on the 3rd day of October, A.D. 2000.
