HomeMy WebLinkAbout071 - 05/20/1997 - APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE GENERAL FUND RELATED TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 1996 EN ORDINANCE NO. 71, 1997 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE GENERAL FUND RELATED TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 1996 ENERGY CODE REVISIONS WHEREAS,the City has been awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy, in the amount of$10,000; and WHEREAS, the grant is designated for training related to compliance with the City's Residential Energy Code; and WHEREAS, Article V, Section 9,of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the City Council to make supplemental appropriations by ordinance at any time during the fiscal year, provided that the total amount of such supplemental appropriations,in combination with all previous appropriations for that fiscal year, do not exceed the then current estimate of actual and anticipated revenues to be received during the fiscal year; and WHEREAS, City staff have determined that the appropriation of the unanticipated grant revenue from the U.S. Department of Energy referenced herein will not cause total appropriations to exceed the current estimate of actual and anticipated revenues for fiscal year 1997. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure in the General Fund from unanticipated grant revenue received by the Building and Zoning Department from the U.S. Department of Energy, the sum of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000) for builder, public, and code official training. a° Introduced and considered favorably on first readin ord d pub ' ed t ' 6th day of May, A.D. 1997, and to be presented for final passage the 20 ay of ay, A 1997.
