OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE
IN THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE CLEAN AIR COLORADO PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Council passed the Air Quality Action Plan for the purpose of implementing
strategies (fiat will improve air quality in Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, the Clean Air Colorado Progra►n is consistent with the goals and objectives
called out in the Air Quality Action Plan; and
WIIEREAS, as part of tine Clean Air Colorado Program, the City receives an annual
monetary award from the Stale to implement air quality education, special projects, and data
collection; and
WHEREAS, for 1997-1998 Clean Air Colorado program the City will receive a State grant
in the amount of $27,000 to implement a variety of air quality projects consistent with the Air
Quality Action Plan; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 9, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the
City Council to make supplemental appropriations by ordinance at any time during the fiscal year,
provided that tl►e total amount of such supplemental appropriations, in combination with all
previous appropriations for that fiscal year, do not exceed the then current estimate of actual and
anticipated revenues to be received during the fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, City staff have determined that the appropriation of the unanticipated grant
revenue from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Envirohnuent referenced herein will
not cause total appropriations to exceed the current estimate of actual and anticipated revenues for
fiscal year 1997.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE ary OF FORT
COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated from unanticipated grant revenue in the General Fund
the sum of TWEN'rY SEVEN TIIOUSAND DOLLARS ($27,000) for expenditure upon receipt
in the General Fund for public outreach, special projects, and data collection efforts to improve
local air quality.

August, A.D. 1997, and to be presented for final passage on the 19th day of August, A.D. 1997.
