HomeMy WebLinkAbout126 - 11/02/1993 - AMENDING CITY CODE RELATING TO ABANDONED VEHICLES ORDINANCE NO. 126, 1993 01 THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AMENDING SECTION 28-17(26) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS RELATING TO ABANDONED VEHICLES UNDER THE "MODEL TRAFFIC CODE FOR COLORADO MUNICIPALITIES," 1977 EDITION BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that Section 28- 17(26) of the Code of the City of Fort Collins is hereby amended by adding two new subparagraphs to Section 22-20(a) (1) of the "Model Traffic Code for Colorado Municipalities," 1977 Edition, to be numbered (a) (1)f and (a) (1)g, to read as follows: Sec. 28-17. Amendments to the adopted code. (26) Section 22-20, Authority to impound or immobilize vehicles; prohibited acts, is amended by the amendment of subsections (a) and (b) and by the addition of subsections (c) , (d) , (e) , (f) and (g) as follows: "(a) Definitions. As used in this section: "f. Any vehicle left unattended on public property, including any portion of a street or highway right-of-way, within the municipality that is not registered or does not have a license plate with a current registration sticker attached thereto in violation of Section 42-3-122, C.R.S. , except as provided for in Section 42-3-117, C.R.S. "g. Any vehicle left unattended on public property, including any portion of a street or highway right-of-way, within the municipality that is in an inoperable condition. A vehicle shall be deemed to be in an "inoperable condition" if it is junked, wrecked, wholly or partially dismantled, missing essential parts or unable to perform the functions or purposes for which it was originally manufactured.
