HomeMy WebLinkAbout136 - 10/18/1988 - AMENDING CITY CODE RELATING TO THE DEFINITION OF AQUARIUM SHOP ORDINANCE NO. 136, 1988 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AMENDING SECTION 29-1 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS RELATING TO THE DEFINITION OF "AQUARIUM SHOP" WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that it would be in the best interest of the City to amend the Code of the City so as to allow aquarium shops to sell birds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, that the definition of Aquarium shop, as set forth in Section 29-1 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins, is hereby amended to read as follows: Aquarium shop shall mean a retail shop in which the principal business of the shop is the sale of fish as pets, as well as the sale of related equipment and food. The sale of birds as pets, and the sale of rodents weighing less than ten (10) pounds, as well as the sale of related equipment and food, shall be allowed as accessory uses to such shop.
