HomeMy WebLinkAbout146 - 12/17/1996 - AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 024, 1996, REGARDING THE LANDMARK REHABILITATION GRANT PROGRAM ORDINANCE NO. 146, 1996 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 24, 1996, REGARDING THE LANDMARK REHABILITATION GRANT PROGRAM WHEREAS, on March 5, 1996, the Council of the City of Fort Collins passed on final reading Ordinance No. 24, 1996 (the"Ordinance"), establishing the Landmark Rehabilitation Grant Program as an ongoing project of the City of Fort Collins; and WHEREAS, Section 6.(H) of the Ordinance provides that property owners who have previously received grants shall be eligible for subsequent grants, but priority will be given to applicants who have not previously received grants; and WHEREAS, the Council has determined that said Section 6.(H) has a deterrent effect upon applicants for larger preservation projects that are to be undertaken in stages when such projects may, because of their magnitude, need funding for more than one year; and WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City that Section 6.(H) of the Ordinance should be deleted so that larger preservation projects not be discouraged. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, that Section 6.(H) of Ordinance No. 24, 1996, be and hereby is repealed and is of no further force and effect.
