OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE
IN THE GENERAL FUND FOR LIBRARY SERVICES
WHEREAS, Article V,Section 14,of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the City
Council to appropriate by ordinance unanticipated revenue which is the result of rate or fee increases
or new revenue sources at any time during the year in which such revenue is received; and
WHEREAS,the Fort Collins Library has been awarded a Teens and Technology federal grant
in the amount of$14,995 through the Library Services and Construction Act Title I funds; and
WHEREAS, the Fort Collins Teens and Technology Project is a unique program targeting
teens for library use through their interest in technology; and
WHEREAS, the Teens and Technology Project will be implemented by library staff in
collaboration with the Youth Activity Center staff and the Youth Advisory Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated from unanticipated grant revenue in the General Fund
the sum of FOURTEEN THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED NINETY FIVE DOLLARS ($14,995),
for expenditure in the General Fund for the Fort Collins Teens and Technology Project.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this 17th day of
September, A.D. 1996, and to be presented for final passage on the 1 st day of October, A.D. 1996.
