HomeMy WebLinkAbout101 - 08/20/1996 - APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE FOSSIL CREEK TRAIL UNDERPASS ORDINANCE NO. 101, 1996 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE CONSERVATION TRUST FUND FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE FOSSIL CREEK TRAIL UNDERPASS WHEREAS, Article V, Section 14, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins (the "Charter") authorizes the Council to appropriate unanticipated revenues which are the result of new revenue sources at any time during the year in which such revenue is received; and WHEREAS, the City has received a grant in the amount of $50,000 from Colorado State Parks and Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund for construction of a trail underpass for the Fossil Creek Trail; and WHEREAS, funding is available in the Conservation Trust Fund in the suer of$30,000 for design of the underpass and in the swn of$80,000 for the City's construction share; and WHEREAS, construction of the underpass is planned for the spring of 1997; and WHEREAS, the trail underpass will provide a safe crossing of Taft Hill Road for trail users on the Fossil Creek Trail through the Cathy Fromme Prairie. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated revenue in the Conservation Trust Fund, the sum of FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000) upon receipt from the Colorado State Parks and Great Outdoors Colorado"Trust Fund to be used for the construction of a trail Underpass of Taft Hill Road for the Fossil Creek Trail.
