OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE
CULTURAL SERVICES & FACILITIES FUND TO
UPGRADE THE LINCOLN CENTER BOX OFFICE SYSTEM
WHEREAS,Article V, Section 7, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins (the "Charter")
providesthatCity Council may provide by ordinance-for-payment of any expense from prior year
reserves, notwithstanding that such reserves were not appropriated for expenditure in the annual
appropriation ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Cultural Services & Facilities Fund has available funds from prior year
reserves at the end of 1994; and
WHEREAS, the Cultural Services Division is requesting the use of a portion of the
unreserved fund balance to replace the box office system at the City's Lincoln Center facility; and
WHEREAS, the Lincoln Center's existing box office system is outdated and it frequently
malfunctions, resulting in the shut down of the system creating delays in providing service to
customers; and
WHEREAS, with new hardware and software a PC LAN system would be created for the
Lincoln Center box office system and would provide faster and more reliable service for the center's
customers; and
WHEREAS, the replacement and upgrading of the box office system will give the Lincoln
Center the opportunity to network the PC's in the entire facility; and
WHEREAS, the cost of replacing and upgrading the Lincoln Center box office system is
$32,723.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated forexpenditure from prior year reserves in the Cultural
Services and Facilities Fund the sum of THIRTY-TWO THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED
TWENTY-THREE DOLLARS ($32,723), to be used to replace and upgrade the box office system
at the Lincoln Center.
Introduced,considered favorably on first reading,and ordered published this 18th day of July,
A.D. 1995 and to be presented for final passage on the 1st day of August, A.D. 1995.
