OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
VACATING THE ALLEY LOCATED ON BLOCK 31
IN CONNECTION WITH CONSTRUCTION OF THE
LARIMER COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER
WHEREAS,the original plat of the City of Fort Collins reserved a twenty-foot wide right-of-
way for an alley in Block 31 of the City of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS,because of the redevelopment of Block 31, including the proposed construction
of the Larimer County Justice Center, the alley is no longer needed for use as an alley; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to retain the right-of-way for public utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, there will be no cost to the City in making the proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS,the rights of the residents of the City of Fort Collins will not be prejudiced or
injured by the vacation of said right-of-way.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that all alleys platted and shown as lying within Block 31, City of Fort Collins, be and
the same are vacated, abated and abolished; reserving to the City an easement over and under said
property for utility purposes.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and ordero-published this 17th day of
February, A.D. 1998, and to be presented for final passage on the"�rd day of March;A.D: 1998.
