OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE
DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OPERATING FUND FOR
VARIOUS CAPITAL PROJECTS
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 7, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins,
authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of any expense
from reserves accumulated in prior years notwithstanding that such reserves were
not appropriated for expenditure in the annual appropriation ordinance; and
WHEREAS, one of the objectives of the Downtown Development Authority is to
construct public improvements within the DDA district; and
WHEREAS, monies previously appropriated into the DDA Capital Projects Fund
were transferred to the DDA Operating Fund in 1992 and have not been appropriated
for expenditure in 1993; and
WHEREAS, in 1992, the Downtown Development Authority either committed or
gave preliminary approval to a number of requests for sidewalk, curb, landscaping
and facade improvements; and
WHEREAS, said public improvements have been authorized and recommended to
the City Council by the Downtown Development Authority Board; and
WHEREAS, the Downtown Development Authority has prior year reserves
available to appropriate for these improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from accumulated prior year
reserves in the Downtown Development Authority Fund the sum of EIGHTY-THREE
THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED THIRTY-EIGHT DOLLARS ($83,638) for the following projects:
Cuisine Cuisine - outdoor dining area $ 1,500
112 South College - facade renovation 15,000
- sidewalk improvements 7,200
RBD Engineering - driveway, curb, gutter
and landscaping 2,580
Woolworth's - facade renovation 52,358
Larimer Annexation - curb cut, landscaping 5,000
Total $83,638
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 15th day of June, A.D. 1993, and to be present final pas n the
6th day of July, A.D. 1993.
