HomeMy WebLinkAbout054 - 06/15/1993 - APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND FOR THE REHABILITATION OF THE TROLL ORDINANCE NO. 54, 1993 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND FOR THE REHABILITATION OF THE TROLLEY BUILDING WHEREAS, Article V, Section 14, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins (the "Charter") authorizes the City Council to appropriate unanticipated revenues which are the result of new revenue sources at any time during the year in which such revenue is received; and WHEREAS, the City owns the historic Trolley Car Building located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Howes and Cherry Streets; and WHEREAS, the City is desirous of repairing and stabilizing the building to ensure that it can be used in the future; and WHEREAS, the City Council passed Resolution 93-74 on June 1, 1993, authorizing the City to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the State of Colorado for the receipt of Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA) funds to be used to repair and stabilize the City's historic Trolley Car Building; and WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Transportation has notified the City of approval of the City's application for $180,800 in Fiscal Year 1993 transportation enhancement funds; and WHEREAS, the matching ratio for this project is 80% ISTEA funds and 20% City match; and WHEREAS, the City's required matching funds of $45,200 are appropriated in the Capital Projects Fund - Major Building Maintenance 1993 budget; and WHEREAS, Article V, Section 4, of the Charter requires that capital projects be summarized in the budget by individual project; and WHEREAS, the result of such summarization is that each individual capital project in the budget is treated as a separate fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that upon the City's receipt of the sum of ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($180,800) in Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA) funds from the State of Colorado, said sum is appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated revenue in the Capital Projects Fund to provide for rehabilitation of the Trolley Car Building.
