HomeMy WebLinkAbout034 - 05/04/1993 - APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE TRANSPORTATION DIVISION PORTION OF THE TRANSPORTATION FUN ORDINANCE NO. 34, 1993 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE TRANSPORTATION DIVISION PORTION OF THE TRANSPORTATION FUND WHEREAS, Article V, Section 14, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins (the "Charter") authorizes the City Council to appropriate unanticipated revenues which are the result of new revenue sources at any time during the year in which such revenue is received; and WHEREAS, the City Council passed Resolution 93-51 on April 20, 1993, authorizing the City to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the Colorado State Department of Transportation for the receipt of Federal -Aid Urban Systems (FAUS) and Surface Transportation Program (STP) funds to provide for traffic signal construction and bicycle projects; and WHEREAS, the City anticipates receiving $516,000 in FAUS and STP funds combined, for the purpose of constructing four traffic signals and two bicycle projects. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that upon the City's receipt of the sum of FIVE HUNDRED SIXTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS (b516,000) in Federal-Aid Urban Systems (FAUS) and Surface Transportation Program (STP) funds from the Colorado State Department of Transportation, said sum is appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated revenue in the Transportation Division portion of the Transportation Fund to provide for the construction of four (4) traffic signals and two (2) bicycle projects. Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this 20th day of April , A.D. 1993, and to be presen for final passage on the 4th day of May, A.D. 1993.
